FOREHEAD LIFT LAFAYETTE

FOREHEAD LIFT LAFAYETTE

It’s not uncommon to find that the forehead and brow are the first areas to show signs of aging. Over time, our once elastic and resilient skin begins to feel loose and fragile. Factors such as our environment, health, and gravity begin to affect the way we look. Many of us even display these signs of aging before their time.

We often try to ignore those wrinkles, frown lines, and heavy eyebrows. However, thanks to advances in medical science, you can now come in for a procedure known as a forehead lift.

A forehead lift is carried out for individuals looking to reverse the signs of aging. It can help correct issues such as age lines on the forehead, furrowed lines above the nose, and drooping eyebrows that create a permanently sad expression.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A FOREHEAD LIFT

Typically, this procedure is most popular with people in the age group of 40 to 60. Individuals with the following issues may be eligible for a forehead lift:

  • Sagging eyebrows
  • Stress lines and wrinkles on the forehead
  • Sagging skin on the forehead

PREPARATION FOR THE PROCEDURE

Prior to the surgery, your surgeon will conduct a consultation session with you. He will go through your medical history, conduct a psychological evaluation, and conduct a physical exam. You will be encouraged to ask questions, and any doubts about the procedure must be discussed. Do not hesitate to ask questions, especially when it comes to understanding the procedure.

A day before the surgery, you may be asked to provide urine and blood samples. This is done to rule out any possible issues that might cause complications.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE

At the start of your forehead lift, anesthesia will be administered. Following this, incisions will be created in the forehead area. The exact patterns and sites of these incisions will depend on your preferences and the preferences of your doctors.

Once the incisions have been created, drooping skin and muscle tissue will be removed and altered as needed in order to tighten and smooth out the region. The incisions will be closed using medical sutures at the end of the procedure.

THE FOREHEAD LIFT RECOVERY PROCESS

Once the procedure is completed, you will be ready for the recovery process. Bandages are removed within a few days from the surgery date, and stitches/clips are removed after a couple of weeks.

Your nerves will begin to regrow, which will cause a tingling or itchy sensation on your forehead. This tingling or itchiness will gradually fade away. You may experience a degree of discomfort and numbness during healing. These can be relieved through medication that will be prescribed.

You will need to keep your head raised for a few days to minimize swelling and bruising. There will be some degree of bruising and swelling around the cheeks and eyes, which will gradually disappear during the healing process.

You can resume normal activity after a few days from the surgery date. Intense physical activity, such as playing a sport or having sex, should be avoided for a few weeks as recommended. Sun and heat exposure should be avoided for a few months.
