Nurse Practitioner Leah Trahan, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, RNFA

Leah Trahan is a native of Kaplan, Louisiana. She graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2016 and later became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a Certified Injector. Following graduation, she worked as an RN at Lafayette General Medical Center until 2017 in various departments including telemetry/acute cardiovascular care, cardiovascular short stay, and clinical education. She graduated from ULL in 2016 with a Master of Science in Nursing and shortly after became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioner’s. As a nurse practitioner, Leah has worked in specialties including 4 years in cardiovascular care, 3 years in wound care, and plastic/reconstructive surgery.

Leah joined the Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Doctors team to work with Dr. Lupo in August of 2022. She has acquired her injectable certification from AMET and enjoys seeing patients in clinic for cosmetic injectable visits. She also received her RN First Assist certification from NIFA so that she may better assist Dr. Lupo in surgery. She assists Dr. Lupo with many aspects of patient care including hospital rounds, reconstruction tissue expansion, surgery, and clinic visits. Leah enjoys going the extra mile to help patients and working closely with Dr. Lupo to help patients navigate the surgical healing process.
